Orange Barrel Alert: Acequia Trail Underpass @ St. Francis Drive

The City of Santa Fe’s contractor - Vital Consulting Group, LLC has completed top-down placement of all concrete support beams and approach slabs for the Acequia Trail Underpass. Final Paving operations will commence this Friday evening, May 12th at 8 PM through Saturday morning at 6 AM. The inside lanes will remain closed through the weekend to protect the newly poured median curb & gutter. Construction will transition to a daytime schedule starting the following week, when excavation of the existing tunnel structure will commence. The entire project is expected to be complete by end of September 2017.

Access to businesses and residences will remain open at all times. Vehicular traffic may experience nighttime delays through the project area. A segment of the Acequia Trail between Felipe St. and Alarid St. will be closed and trail users are advised to seek alternate routes around this area for the duration of the project. The public is advised to use caution at all times while moving through the construction zone.
