Traffic Advisory - Bicycle Route for "Ride of Silence" this evening may create minor traffic impacts/delays

This evening, May 17, from about 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., bicyclists from the area will be participating in the Ride of Silence in honor of bicyclists injured or killed on public roadways. This is a national campaign to raise awareness and safety, and to remind the public that motorists and bicyclists share the road.

As many as several hundred bicyclists may participate in the ride. Roads may be temporarily affected due to the large amount bicyclists on the route. The route will include main thoroughfares such Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Rd., Westlake Blvd., Lakeview Cyn. Rd., and Moorpark Rd. The bicyclists will be using the right lanes, also known as #2 lanes, to travel on the route.

Please allow extra travel time and/or plan alternate routes to avoid any potential delays as the ride travels through the City.
