Michael Wayne Pittman (W/M, 58 Yo, 4671 Pine St., Battleboro, NC)

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, the members of the Tar River Regional Drug Task Force were conducting proactive policing in the Goldrock Area of Rocky Mount, NC. While checking the local hotels for any illegal or suspicious activities, TRRDTF members noticed a vehicle belonging to SARAH BEANE parked at the Econo Lodge.
The members of the TRRDTF were familiar with SARAH BEANE (W/F, 28 yo, of 4678 Pine Street, Battleboro, NC) from previous narcotics investigations involving her, that she was currently on active probation, and that she was the current girlfriend of CHADWICK (CHAD) PITTMAN (W/M, 36.

TRRDTF members were also familiar with CHADWICK (CHAD) PITTMAN as a known heroin trafficker based on previous narcotics investigations. Also, members of the TRRDTF were familiar with the fact that CHADWICK (CHAD) PITTMAN had illegally removed his probation ankle monitoring bracelet, was currently wanted as a probation absconder, and had outstanding felony warrants.

The TRRDTF was able to develop information indicating that PITTMAN and BEANE were staying at the Econo Lodge in room 119. TRRDTF members approached room 119 and knocked on the door to conduct a casual encounter. As BEANE opened the door, the members of the TRRDTF observed CHADWICK (CHAD) PITTMAN standing in plain sight. Also standing next to CHADWICK (CHAD) PITTMAN was his father, MICHAEL WAYNE PITTMAN. A search of the room and of the three subjects was conducted by members of the TRRDTF.
The following items were located, seized, and submitted into evidence: 82 bags of heroin, one (1) methadone pill, (1) plastic bag of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. CHADWICK PITTMAN, MICHAEL PITTMAN and SARAH BEANE were placed into custody without incident. The following charges were obtained:
 CHADWICK PITTMAN was charged with one count of PWIMSD Heroin; one count of Maintain a Dwelling for CS; one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule VI; and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. CHADWICK PITTMAN received a $25,000.00 secured bond for today’s charges, $50,000.00 secured bond for the probation violation along with an additional $5,000.00 cash bond.
 MICHAEL WAYNE PITTMAN was charged with one count of PWIMSD Heroin. MICHAEL WAYNE PITTMAN received a $15,000.00 secured bond for today’s charges.
 SARAH MARIE BEANE was charged with one count of PWIMSD Heroin; one count of Maintain a Dwelling for CS; one count of Possession of Schedule II; and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. SARAH MARIE BEANE received a $20,000.00 secured bond for today’s charges.

Sheriff Stone stated, “This is a result of Community involvement and it makes our Community safer protecting our families from the ones like this that are spreading this poison to our community!”

All defendants have a first court appearance set for May 19th in the Nash County Courthouse. Mugshots of the three defendants are attached. No further information at this time.
