Fifty-two year old Dung Van Nguyen, of Waco, was arrested by Woodway Police on May 18, 2017 for continuous sexual abuse of a child for sex crimes which spanned the course of at least two years against a child younger than 14 years of age.
Nguyen was arrested after a child made an outcry of the abuse on May 6th. The child, whose age and gender are being withheld, was a known acquaintance of Nguyen. Investigators, through forensic interviews with the victim, determined the child had been sexually abused on numerous occasions between 2013 and 2015 at a Woodway residence by Nguyen.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Nguyen charging him with continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony. Nguyen was arrested Thursday evening as he was traveling home from work. He is currently being held in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
