Whitehouse Man Indicted for Robbery and Possession of Weapons
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the indictment of Victor Deleon., age 53, of Whitehouse Station, NJ. On May 11, 2017, Mr. Deleon was indicted for 1st degree Robbery, 3rd degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and 4th degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “On March 16, 2017, Mr. Deleon was arrested after he approached a victim in the parking lot of the Bishop’s Supermarket and demanded money. The victim, believing Mr. Deleon had a weapon, called 911 and he was subsequently arrested by the Readington Township Police Department. At the time of the arrest, Mr. Deleon was found to be in possession of a screw driver.”
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
