Good Friday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for 5/25/17.

-2600 blk Robert Lee, Levelland: Fire. Deputies assisted multiple fire departments with a scene involving multiple structures and vehicles. Deputies aided by evacuating local residents and providing traffic control in the area. The scene was contained and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

-Hwy 114 at FM 2646, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A complainant reported a possible reckless driver in the area traveling on Hwy 114. The area was searched and no vehicle matching the description provided was located.

-Alamo Rd at Hwy 114, Levelland: Disabled Vehicle. A deputy stopped to aid a motorist with a disabled vehicle. The driver obtained more fuel and the vehicle was moved from the roadway.

-3700 blk FM 2646, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. The party reportedly causing the disruption left the scene prior to arrival of deputies. The matter is under investigation.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 5/26/17 at 0800 hours: 45 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, and 13 out-of-county.
