Would be Car Thief Arrested by Anderson Police

On May 30th 2017, at about 1216 PM, an undercover officer observed 24 year old, Alvaro Osorio of Pacoima, California attempting to steal a pick-up truck in the parking-lot of a local Anderson coffee shop. The undercover officer quickly radioed the information to patrol officers who responded and took Osorio into custody.

The owner of the truck was located by police and had been standing in line with his back turned to the vehicle during the attempted theft. The owner of the truck said he did not know Mr. Osorio. Osorio was transported to the Shasta County Jail and booked without incident for attempted vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools. Felony charges will be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
