Time: 1315 hours
At 0701 hours this morning, a structure fire was reported at a residence in the 1300 block of E. Parkside Drive, West Covina. Both West Covina Fire and Police responded to the location. Evacuations of residents adjacent to the fire location were made.
After the fire was extinguished at about 0725 hours, a check of the interior of the residence was made and a body (victim) was found inside the location. It is unknown if the victim is the resident.
West Covina Police Detectives along with Arson Investigators from the LA Sheriff’s Department are on scene to determine the cause of the fire and the cause of death of the victim.
No further information is available, as the investigation is ongoing.
