On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, the Sausalito Police Department will be hosting a “Coffee with a Cop” event at Starbucks, 14 Princess Street, from 10am to 11am. The goal of “Coffee with a Cop” is to break down barriers between police officers and citizens by creating an environment where open communication between officers and citizens is encouraged. These informal and personal conversations allow the citizens to ask officers questions, voice their concerns, and to get to know the officers better.

In previous “Coffee with a Cop” events, Sausalito Police Officers spoke to numerous citizens on several different topics. These topics included, but were not limited to, the law enforcement profession, crime and quality of life issues in Sausalito, sports, and television shows.
