Anderson PD Recovers its First Stolen Vehicle using LoJack
On Wednesday May 31, 2017 at about 6:40 AM an Anderson resident reported their Toyota minivan stolen from their residence on Lyndsey Lane. Around 8:35 A.M. the LoJack indicator began going off in a patrol car that has LoJack installed. Within minutes the vehicle was located parked at Volante Park in Anderson.
The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System is an aftermarket vehicle tracking system that allows vehicles to be tracked by police, with the aim of recovering them in case of theft. LoJack has been installed in local law enforcement vehicles for less than a year. This is the first vehicle recovered by Anderson PD using LoJack.
This is just one more tool for Anderson PD and other local Law Enforcement Agencies to assist in the recovery of stolen vehicles.
