Crime Description / Code: Armed Robbery / 211 PC

Suspect(s): White male adult in his early to mid 50’s.

Suspect Vehicle(s): Dark blue, early 90’s, Chevy pick-up.

On 6/2/17, at 3:00 PM, a white male adult in his early to mid 50’s entered the Chase Bank at 1895 Ygnacio Valley Rd., approached a bank teller, pulled up his shirt to reveal a handgun in the waistband of his pants and demanded money. The suspect had grey hair, a mustache and was wearing a white shirt and black hat. He was last seen fleeing on foot through the parking lot of the Ygnacio Plaza Shopping Center.

Approximately thirty minutes later, a Walnut Creek Police Officer spotted a male matching the description of the robbery suspect in the parking lot of the Countrywood Shopping Center located at the corner of Bancroft Rd. and Treat Bl. As the officer attempted to contact the male, he got into a blue, early 90’s, Chevy pick-up truck and fled onto Treat Bl. Walnut Creek Police Officers pursued the truck briefly before terminating the pursuit when the driver began driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of traffic on Treat Bl.
