A WESTERN LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING ACROSS
JACKSON...GRIMES...WASHINGTON... BRAZOS...WESTERN
MADISON...WALLER...NORTHWESTERN WALKER... NORTHWESTERN
HARRIS...COLORADO...WHARTON...AUSTIN...BURLESON... NORTHWESTERN FORT
BEND AND WESTERN MATAGORDA COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT...

At 628 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Tanglewood to 7 miles south of La Grange
to near Mission Valley. Movement was EAST at 45 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
College Station, Bryan, Brenham, Katy, El Campo, Wharton, Navasota,
Sealy, Hempstead, Prairie View, Edna, Palacios, Brookshire,
Madisonville, Caldwell, Bellville, Columbus, Eagle Lake, South Texas
Nuclear Plant and Washington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
