Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death investigation of a man and the wounding of another.  The incident occurred Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 7:11 p.m., in the 1100 block of Cambridge Court, Lancaster.
 
Detectives have learned that Lancaster Station deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon gunshot victim call at the location.  Upon their arrival, they learned that several people had been congregating outside in front of the location.  The suspect arrived and began shooting towards the group of people.  After the shooting the suspect ran eastbound on Cambridge Court and out of view.    
 
The first victim, a male Black adult, was struck at least one time in the torso.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The second victim, a male Black adult was shot in the arm.  He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. 
 
The suspect is described as a male Black adult.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 43200 block of Yaffa Street, Lancaster, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male, Black adult.
 
The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. 
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
