MDOT will be shutting down portions of Grand River Avenue between Shiawassee and Grove starting Wednesday night through early Monday morning, June 12th. The following is the work plan:
MDOT will be closing Grand River from Shiawassee to Farmington at 12:01 AM Thursday June 8, 2017 until 5:00 AM Monday June 12, 2017 for pavement patching. During this time only one lane of Eastbound travel will be permitted on Grand River from Shiawassee to Farmington Road. Tentatively early Saturday morning (6/10) eastbound traffic will be shifted to the west bound lanes for the remaining pavement repairs to be completed. Grand River from Shiawassee to Farmington Road is to be open to two way traffic at 5:00 AM Monday June 12, 2017.
MDOT will be closing Grand River between Farmington Road and Grove Street at 9:00 PM, June 9, 2017 for pavement patching and sidewalk ramp repairs. NO traffic either direction will be permitted. Grand River will remain closed until 5:00 AM Monday June 12, 2017.
The primary traffic detour will be Freedom Road to the south. Traffic who miss the detour will use Shiawassee. MDOT will place the advanced notice barricades on Farmington Road, Grand River, Orchard Lake and other roads.
MDOT will be closing Grand River at Hawthorne Street June 16, 2017 at 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM Monday June 19, 2017 for the replacement of a storm Sewer. MDOT detour will be using the local streets east of town to route traffic to 9 Mile Road.
