Neighborhood Watch & National Night Out information
Hi everyone, the Livermore Police Department wanted to share with you the date of this year’s National Night Out. This year’s National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 1st.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out each year across thousands of communities throughout the United States.
Last year’s National Night Out had great participation from our community. This year, we want more neighbors to come together and celebrate National Night Out.
With only two months until National Night Out, this is a perfect opportunity for you and your neighborhood to create a Neighborhood Watch Group. A Neighborhood Watch Group is a great way to meet your neighbors and participate in crime prevention strategies and form relationships with the Livermore Police Department.
Have you ever considered form creating a Neighborhood Watch Group in your neighborhood? If so, the process is very simple. We have created this short video about the Neighborhood Watch program and how you can create a Neighborhood Watch Group. We have posted the video on our department’s YouTube page.
