The first prolonged heat wave of the season. See attachment.

THE FIRST PROLONGED HEAT WAVE OF THE SEASON. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB INTO THE LOWER TO MID 90S STARTING THIS WEEKEND AND WILL LAST THROUGH THE THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK.

HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S WITH MONDAY BEING THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE EVENT AS HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH NEAR 100 DEGREES.

THIS WEEKEND AND INTO THE EARLY WORK WEEK IT IS RECOMMENDED TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND
AVOID ALCOHOLIC AND CAFFEINATED BEVERAGES IF POSSIBLE.

MINIMIZE DIRECT EXPOSURE TO THE SUN AND STRENUOUS DAYTIME OUTDOOR
ACTIVITIES.

DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN VEHICLES FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME AS IT COULD BE DANGEROUS OR EVEN LIFE
