Anderson Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

On Tuesday, June 13th 2017 at around midnight., Anderson Police Officer’s contacted 18 year old, Jason Anthony Navarro of Anderson, California. Anderson Police had been looking for Navarro in connection to an assault and subsequent robbery that occurred on June 12th 2017 at around 4:30 P.M.

Navarro, who had allegedly pepper sprayed his victim before stealing a Sony PlayStation was apprehended by officers inside the Anderson Meadows Apartment Complex where the Problem Oriented Policing Unit had recently been conducting proactive enforcement operations. Navarro was also suspected in a series of other thefts in the area and actually sold the stolen PlayStation to a local Anderson GameStop minutes after the robbery occurred.

Navarro was booked into the Shasta County Jail on Robbery and Assault charges. Additional felony charges will be filed against Navarro with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
