Chula Vista Cool Zones and Aquatica are open to help beat the heat. 
With extremely high temperatures predicted for the next several days, it is important to drink lots of water, avoid strenuous activities and stay in the shade as much as possible. And please don't forget your pets -- they need shade and extra water as well.
Several Chula Vista locations are designated Cool Zones including:
Norman Park Senior Center, 270 F Street, open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Civic Center Branch Library, 365 F Street, and the South Branch Library at 389 Orange Avenue are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday; and the Otay Ranch Branch Library located at the Otay Ranch Town Center, open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition, Aquatica San Diego Sea World's waterpark, located at 2052 Entertainment Circle (off Main Street) in Chula Vista, is open today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the next seven days. Learn more at https://aquaticabyseaworld.com/en/sandiego/.
