False Identity Suspect Sought
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Altoona woman is being sought for using false identity to obstruct justice, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Rachel Woods Adams, 43, of Altoona, has an outstanding warrant for obstructing justice-false identity, which is a felony,” Lt. Robin Grant said.
Lt. Grant was at a residence, on Old Mink Farm Road, looking for a male suspect that had felony warrants. When he knocked, Adams opened the front door and spoke to Lt. Grant stating she did not know the person he was looking for.
When he asked for her identification she replied she did not have anything. Adams then said she could give her social security number but, proceeded to give several false numbers in an attempt to avoid an active warrant with the Albertville Police Department.
Adams is currently being sought for the false identity warrant in Etowah County. Anyone with information about the location of Adams is encouraged to call Lt. Robin Grant at 256-458-6846.
