Planned Water Outage for Brown Road/Valley Drive Area
Residents along Brown Road from Valley Drive to Calle del Sol, and Calle del Sol from Brown Road to Avenida Blanco, will experience a water outage for four hours beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, for a new water main tie-in at Brown and Valley. Adjacent areas also may be affected.
Once service is restored, water could appear discolored due to naturally occurring iron and manganese. Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
Any discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents and businesses should flush all cold water faucets for five minutes. If discoloration remains, call the City of Las Cruces at 526-0500 for assistance.
