Reported Disturbance Leads to DUI Arrest 
On Sunday, June 25th 2017 at about 11:25 A.M., Anderson Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ferry Street, in Anderson for a report of a disturbance. While responding to the location, 29 year old, Andre Kuhlman of Anderson left in his vehicle. Kuhlman was stopped by police during a traffic stop that occurred in the area of Freeman Street and North Street.
During the contact, Kuhlman exhibited the objective symptomology of narcotic ingestion and influence. Kuhlman was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) from Anderson P.D. and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Kuhlman was booked into the Shasta County Jail and charges will be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
Kuhlman’s passenger was identified as 36 year old, Desmond Alden of Anderson. He was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and providing a false name to Anderson Police during a lawful detention.
