Street Sweeping Information
The City of Torrance, Parking Enforcement Officers are responsible for enforcing Street Sweeping violation, since officers do not follow the street sweeper residents are reminded not to park on the street during the three hour block for street sweeping.
Parking Enforcement will suspend issuing of citations for street sweeping violations only during the Winter holiday season, usually the last two weeks in December starting on the third Sunday of December and ending January 1st. Residents are reminded that all vehicles determined to be in violation of a parking ordinance other than the street sweeping violation ordinance, will still be subject to a parking citation. Street sweeping operations will remain in effect throughout this period during the holiday period. We encourage residents to move their cars on a voluntary basis. It is essential to keep debris from entering the storm drain system, especially during the raining season.
