Phone Call Scam 
A Fayette County resident was recently called by a male claiming to be his "long lost grandson" who had fallen on hard times and had been arrested in Florida. The "grandson" needed help getting out of jail. Another party was then put in touch with the Fayette resident to work through the details of the bail payment.
THIS IS A SCAM!!! The Fayette resident did not fall for this scam, but several individuals in Georgia and across the country have.
The number used in the scam was 717-585-0597 and is likely a Google voice or smartphone app number. These can be changed easily, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind a few calls until they can get that done. Have fun just block your number or use your own app. Our favorite app plays police sirens in the background.
