Full Notification

At approximately 8:30 am on today's date EPD received multiple calls of an explosion in the 1700 block of Hercules Ave. Officers arrived and rendered aide to 3 individuals (2 adults and 1 juvenile) until EFD and AMR arrived on scene. AMR transported the individuals to local hospitals for further treatment while EFD continued their search and rescue efforts. EFD has confirmed that the bodies of 2 more individuals have been discovered. Their age, gender, and identification have yet to be determined. The Coroner's Office will be handling that aspect of this incident. At this time EPD is awaiting the findings of both EFD and the Coroner's Office before proceeding.
