Reports of Larceny from Vehicles @ Independence Commons Subdivision (Gr. River / Drake). 
The Farmington Hills Police Department has received several calls of vehicles that had been entered by an unknown suspect(s) during the night. These incidents are concentrated near the Independence Commons Subdivision which is in the area of Grand River and Drake. It appears that the vehicles had been left unlocked. The callers report that items have been taken from their vehicles. Officers are currently in the area investigating.
As these incidents are crimes of opportunity we would ask that if you must leave valuables in your vehicle that they be hidden, and please remember to lock your doors.
