Flash Flood Warning until 03:30AM Friday

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Chariton County in north central Missouri... Northern Randolph County in north central Missouri... Eastern Linn County in north central Missouri... Macon County in north central Missouri...

* Until 330 AM CDT Friday

* At 923 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Macon, Brookfield, Marceline, Bevier, Bucklin, Atlanta, Callao, New Cambria, Jacksonville, Rothville, Elmer, Ethel, New Boston, Excello, Wien and Saint Catherine. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHARITON ... LINN ... MACON ... RANDOLPH

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
