Residential burn ban is in effect! No debris burning for the rest of the season. Fire danger is increasing.
CAL FIRE and Truckee Fire suspended all residential outdoor burning within the State Responsibility Area of Nevada, Yuba, Placer and Sierra Counties. This suspension bans all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris like pine needles and branches. “The suspension of residential outdoor burning is a critical element in protecting the community from the persistent threat of wildfire. The suspension of burn permits for residential landscape debris does not apply to campfires within organized campgrounds or on private property. Campfires may be permitted if the campfire is maintained in such a manner as to prevent its spread to the wildland. A campfire permit can be obtained at local fire stations and online at PreventWildfireCA.org.
