CVPD is issuing a Traffic Advisory for Tomorrow July 4th 2017, due to the fireworks display scheduled to occur at the Elite Athletic Training Facility.

Heavy traffic is expected on Olympic Parkway well before the fireworks begin as people seek out their preferred viewing area. Also expect heavy traffic in the area of Mountain Hawk Park where families are expected to spend the day picnicking prior to the fireworks display.

CVPD will have teams of police officers assigned to the area for this event.

If you live in the area or need to go somewhere in this area, CVPD suggests you use alternate routes to access that portion of the Chula Vista community which will be impacted by the holiday traffic.

Traffic is expected to be heaviest from 4 pm until 11pm.
