Summary:
On July 2, 2017, Deputy Jason Anderson responded to a report of a residential burglary on the 13000 block of Holly Street in Trona.
Sometime between 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1st, 2017, and 7:00 a.m., Sunday, July 2nd, 2017, an unknown suspect broke into the residence. The suspect stole a 50" televison, a Ruger 10-22 rifle with a wood stock, and a Remington 870 shotgun with a wood stock. Deputy Anderson located footprints at the scene which led to an abandoned residence nearby. The stolen television was recovered from inside of the vacant residence. Anderson conducted follow up investigations, which included a search warrant service, in an attempt to locate the stolen firearms. To date the firearms have not been recovered.
