Join the City of Chula Vista Office of Sustainability this Saturday (7/8) from 10am until 3pm to help celebrate the Living Coast Discovery Center as they turn the big 3-0! We’re celebrating with wildlife presentations and animal encounters throughout the day. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to GIVE Back to Nature! From getting your hands dirty in compost, building nests for endangered birds, and learning how to bring sustainable practices into your own home, we’re celebrating all things green. Speaking of green, it’s the grand opening of the new Native Pollinator Garden and City of Chula Vista Sustainability staff will be on hand to help residents learn how to go green in their own homes! So come take a guided plant walk, tour the wildlife refuge, and learn the history of Sweetwater Marsh. If that’s not enough, we'll also be serving cake. After all, we are turning 30!
Don't miss presentations from:
San Diego National Wildlife Refuges
Sweetwater Authority
Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center
Tijuana Estuary (Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve)
We'll also have guests discussing:
Beekeeping and environmentally-friendly bee practices
Birds of prey

and more!
