Summary:
On July 3, 2017, at approximately 10:51 AM, deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of S. Menlo Ave and W. Butte Dr. in the city of Big Bear. Two bicyclists were riding northbound on S. Menlo Ave, near the intersection of W. Butte Dr, one of the bicyclists, Karen Antonich, was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on W. Butte Dr. Antonich was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, the other bicyclist was not involved in the collision. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Anyone with any information regarding this collision is asked to please contact M.A.I.T.
