There is currently a fire burning on Sandia Crest smoke can be seen in Albuquerque. Bernalillo County Fire Department is Supporting US Forest Service.
There are no evacuations at this time and the fire is not threatening any structures.
The public is asked to avoid any and all travel on crest road from Frost to the Top Parking Lot to allow emergency equipment access to fight the fire.
