Anderson Police Raid Drug House
On Sunday, July 9th 2017 at around 9:00 PM, Anderson Police served a narcotic search warrant in the 2500 block of State Hwy 273, at the home of 49 year old, Gimmie Ashby, 31 year old, Sherry Blake and 59 year old, Jerry Applegate. During the service of the search warrant, approximately two ounces of crystal methamphetamine and prescription pills packaged for sales were seized. Drug paraphernalia including hypodermic syringes and pipes were located along with packaging materials, scales, and pay and owe notations.
A number of visitors were also contacted and detained during the investigation. 57 year old, Richard Parenteau of Anderson was arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail for a probation violation after he was found to be a felon in possession of a stun gun. Parenteau will also faces charges for visiting a house where drugs are used and sold.
Ashby, Applegate, and Blake were booked into the Shasta County Jail for suspicion of maintaining a place/house where drugs are used or sold and for possession of methamphetamine and other narcotics with the intent to distribute. Additional Felony charges will also be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
