Hillcrest Rd. railroad crossing is now closed for upgrades. Use back entrance until further notice. 
Hillcrest Rd is now closed at the NICTD Railroad Crossing at Hillcrest Rd and US 12 for approximately 2 weeks for crossing upgrades. Enter and leave Town thru the Portage Lakefront Park. The Detour is well posted and marked for anyone not familiar with the route.
Reminder the speed limit inside the park is 15 mph.
