• Diminishing area of rain with embedded weak thunderstorms crossing northern MI through early afternoon.
• Additional showers and storms may develop late this afternoon into early evening, depending on whether we see some sunshine to destabilize.
• While greater severe threat today will be downstate, a storm or two could pose a severe risk later this afternoon/evening, mainly south of a line from Charlevoix to Tawas City.
• Gusty winds, large hail, an isolated tornado, and locally heavy rain would all be possible if stronger storms can develop later today.
