Southeastern Daviess County in north central Missouri... Linn County in north central Missouri... Northeastern Caldwell County in north central Missouri... Southwestern Macon County in north central Missouri... Livingston County in north central Missouri...
* Until 630 AM CDT
* At 226 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Two to three inches of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chillicothe, Brookfield, Marceline, Gallatin, Salisbury, Jamesport, Keytesville, Bucklin, Meadville, Breckenridge, Laclede, Linneus, Wheeling, Utica, Chula, New Cambria, Purdin, Mendon, Clifton Hill and Sumner. Additional rainfall of one to two inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CALDWELL ... CHARITON ... DAVIESS ... LINN ... LIVINGSTON ... MACON ... RANDOLPH
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
