On July 12, 2017, at approximately 8:00pm, Thurmont Police Officers were called to the 7-11 Store on Frederick Road for a suspicious person. Upon their arrival, the officers recognized the subject as the same person they had escorted out of the carnival earlier due to suspicious activity. While confronting the subject again, the officers observed the subject to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia with residue of CDS. The officers placed the subject under arrest and found the subject to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia and CDS-suspected Heroin. The subject was identified as: Michael J. Hansberger, age 30, of Taneytown. Mr. Hansberger was taken to Central Booking and charged with: Possession of CDS-Heroin, 2 cts of Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.
Mr. Hansberger was being held on a $5,000 Bond.
