North Main Street is closed in both directions in the area of Dove Drive due to a traffic crash with a downed power pole. This crash has also caused the traffic lights to go out at Camden Road/North Main Street, the Walmart exit and, Golfview Drive and North Main Street.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area. However, if already traveling through the area, expect heavy delays as northbound traffic is being diverted onto Golfview Drive to Rockfish Road and, southbound traffic is being diverted at Camden Road.

Motorists can access the Walmart/Village Shopping Center area using Camden Road. Motorists can also travel around the crash by utilizing Rockfish Road and Camden Road or, the Hope Mills Bypass. North Main Street is expected to remain closed in this area until at least after midnight.
