Please join the Anderson Police Department in celebrating National Night Out.
Tuesday August 1st, 2017 is the annual National Night out. For the last 34 years across the United States National Night Out has been an annual event used to promote police-community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our communities safer, and improve our quality of life. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Each year millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.
This will be Anderson’s 18th year participating in National Night Out.
In Anderson there will be about a dozen different neighborhoods, businesses or communities hosting block parties and cookouts. Members of the Anderson Police Department and city officials will be visiting each block party. This will provide our citizens the opportunity to interact with police officers and elected officials and ask questions about our city. You will also get an opportunity to interact with officers in a more relaxed setting.
For more information about where the block parties will be and for updates please check our Facebook page.
