MARC one-stop flood resource center Friday 7/28 & Saturday 7/29
A Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will be opened for McHenry residents affected by recent flooding. This one-stop recovery resource is being coordinated by McHenry County, the American Red Cross of Northwest Illinois and the Salvation Army.
LOCATION: McHenry Township Recreation Center at 3719 N. Richmond in Johnsburg
TIMES: Friday, July 28 from 11 A.M. until 8 P.M. and Saturday, July 29 from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M.
DIRECTIONS: Follow traffic signs enter at the intersection of Illinois Route 31 and Johnsburg Road where there is a road signal that can help manage traffic. Do not turn left across Illinois Route 31.
SERVICES: Illinois Departments of Public Health, Aging, Human Services, Insurance and Mental Health; McHenry County Departments of Health, Planning and Development & Emergency Management; American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Team Rubicon, Catholic Charities and more
FREE: cleanup supplies, water testing kits, food and water and more
VOLUNTEERS: Volunteer help is still needed for the Multi-Agency Resource Center and for helping with clean-up. Persons interested must register with the Volunteer Center of McHenry County, which can be accessed through www.mchenry.co.il.us/flood
DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS THURSDAY, 7/27 & FRIDAY 7/28
Assessments teams will begin going through the affected areas on Thursday and Friday &assessing the overall damage. Residents can also fill out the damage assessment form on line at www.co.mchenry.il.us/flood or call McHenry County Planning & Development at 815-334-4560
FREE CLEANUP ASSISTANCE
Free assistance with the cleanup and muck-out is available by calling the Crisis Cleanup Hotline:1-800-451-1954. This service will be performed by Team Rubicon and the many volunteers who want to help their community with the recovery
