MISSING LAKE LURE HIKER IS LOCATED
At 8:30am an alert Lake Lure resident came into the Lake Lure Police Department to report seeing a man matching the description of the lost hiker. The resident stated he had just seen the man, Eddie Richburg, walking on Boys Camp Road.
Mr. Richburg went missing yesterday while hiking with companions. An intense search and rescue went on past midnight on the trails of Rumbling Bald and the bolder areas of Chimney Rock State Park located off Boys Camp Road. It was also discovered that Mr. Richburg was a wanted subject from Cayce South Carolina for charges which caused the search to take a more cautious approach.
Mr. Richburg was located this morning and is being looked at by medical personnel with law enforcement officers standing by.
