TIP LEADS TO METH LAB
On August 2, 2017, Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office following up on a tip located a “one-pot” methamphetamine lab at a residence in the 7900 block of North Lake Street near Monterey, Indiana.
Deputies received information of subjects at a residence in the 7900 block of North Lake Street manufacturing methamphetamine. Deputies following up on the tip went to the residence where they came into contact with subjects at the residence. Deputies spoke with the homeowner, who was present, and obtained consent to search the residence.
During the subsequent search of the residence, Deputies located an active “one-pot” methamphetamine lab, items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia inside of the residence. The individuals located at the residence were taken into custody and later transported to the Pulaski County Jail.
Deputies requested the assistance of the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Suppression Section to assist with the investigation and to assist with the disposal of the hazardous materials related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Arrested at the scene was Herman Maxon, 65, of Monterey, Indiana, and Amy Shelton, 33, of Knox, Indiana. Maxon and Shelton (pictured) were booked into the Pulaski County Jail on charges related to the dealing and manufacturing of methamphetamine.
This investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
