Potential Heavy Rainfall and Flash Flooding Saturday evening thru Sunday morning. 
Heavy rainfall and flash flooding is possible across the Kansas City Metro and surrounding areas Saturday evening through Sunday morning. Thunderstorms are expected to develop during the morning hours Saturday, with additional chances beginning in the evening. Rainfall totals between 2 to 3 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible heading into Sunday morning.
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued beginning at 4 PM Saturday to 7 AM Sunday. The watch area may be adjusted in subsequent forecasts given the uncertain nature of the event with regard to favorable locations where flash flooding may occur.
