Wanted Fugitive Rainier Raroque is now in custody. We want to thank the public for calling in their tips.

A Sheriff's Deputy patrolling Lemon Grove recognized Raroque from a Crime Stoppers bulletin while in the area of Palm Street on Sunday, August 6th just before 11:00 p.m. The deputy confirmed Raroque's outstanding warrant and took him into custody without incident. Raroque is now booked at Central Jail.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE
Every month, the Sheriff's Department works with the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force (FTF) and Crime Stoppers to find and arrest people wanted for committing crimes.

Be on the lookout for 31-year-old Rainier Raroque. He is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. He has a previous conviction for sexual battery.

Raroque is known to frequent Lemon Grove and La Mesa.

Anyone with information on Raroque's whereabouts is urged to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. You could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
