In celebration of the 21st "Lemon Fest", Third Ave will be closed in both directions between E st and G st. until approximately 6 PM tonight. The festival runs until 5PM.

Lemon Festival celebrates Chula Vista's heritage as the "Lemon Capital of the World" and will feature live entertainment, a kids' fun zone and lemons galore.

Pucker up for the sweetest sour event of the year, the Third Avenue Village Association's Lemon Festival presented by WalMart. Returning for its 21st year on Sunday, August 6 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Lemon Festival brings crates full of summer fun to Chula Vista's Original Neighborhood, spanning Third Avenue from E to G Streets.

Celebrate this juicy jubilee with the community by sporting your brightest yellow outfit and enjoying lemon-infused activities including live bands, sour contests, a kid’s fun zone, a craft beer garden and hundreds of festive booths.

Live bands will rock the event on the Lemonade Bandstand at Park Way and the Citrus Stage at E Street. Between the tangy tunes, compete for glory and prizes in the Lemon Pie Eating, Lemon Peeling and Largest Lemon contests. Sour style will be rewarded as well, with the Best Lemon Outfit contest. All attendees are encouraged to wear yellow to showcase their Chula Vista pride.
