Suspicious device located at Milford School determined not to be a destructive device. Investigation is ongoing. 
On August 08th,2017 the Milford Police Department was called to the Milford School to investigate a suspicious device located on school property. The investigation has determined that fireworks were used in such a manner as to cause damage to property. Suspect(s) tried to set the device off but it failed.
The investigation has not produced any suspect(s) at this time. If anyone has seen any suspicious activity at the Milford School between Sunday 08/06/17 and Monday 08/07/17 please contact the Milford Police Department.
The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives were consulted and determined the device was not a destructive device by definition, although it could have caused damage had it worked.
