Great job this morning by our Downey Police Officers who arrested two juveniles who had just broken into a vehicle in the 11600 block of Downey Avenue. Police were alerted to the break-in by the victim who observed the crime in progress. Officers quickly responded to the area. The first Officer arrived and found the suspects crouching behind a vehicle. Both suspects immediately ran, but one was quickly detained and arrested. Officers continued to search the area and ultimately located and arrested the second suspect who had been hiding in a water heater closet.
