Beginning Monday, August 14th, 2017 07:00am to 7:00pm Gulf Road between Whitman Blvd. and Crestview Drive (The south intersection with Gulf) will be closed.
On Monday the contractor will be installing a temporary sanitary bypass across Gulf Road just north of the Whitman Blvd intersection. Flaggers will be in place to assist local traffic through this work zone, but expect delays. Whitman Blvd will be closed.
This is in preparation of the main excavation that will possibly begin next week on Whitman Blvd. When that phase begins Gulf Road and & Whitman can be expected to be closed completely for several days until the transition is completed onto Whitman Blvd.
Gulf Road will remain closed from Hilliard Road to Burns Road as the project transitions onto Whitman Blvd., because it will be the haul road for the constructions vehicles. Only local residential traffic will be permitted.
