Because of the water main break the ECWA is experiencing at their Sturgeon Point Treatment Plant, the contractor has not been allowed to flush and chlorinate the Sycamore Ave water main. Hopefully the restriction will be lifted next week and they can get this done and then start on installing the individual water service laterals.
Until this repair is complete, the Authority continues to ask customers in the Town and Village of Hamburg, Town and Village of Orchard Park, Town of Aurora, Village of East Aurora, Towns of Colden, Boston, Eden, Evans, Brant and Hanover and the Villages of Angola, Farnham, Silver Creek, and the Seneca Indian Reservation to restrict water use to only what is necessary: no lawn watering, car washing and other non-essential activities.
