Adult Use of Marijuana Act
City staff is in the process of drafting regulations in response to last fall’s state-wide passage of Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. Proposition 64 legalized recreational marijuana use by adults 21 years and older, and allows individuals to grow up to six plants within a locked residence. A new ordinance, addressing the specifics of how and where individuals may cultivate plants, as well as possible commercial cultivation and manufacturing, is being developed and will go before the City Council later this fall.
